"One thing that is tricky to determine is the stability of the air in the boundary layer. It can be interpreted from the winds and temps but it would be easier if stable and unstable layers can be shown. This of course means using the standard dry and moist lapse rates and doing some more calculations, but it would be very useful if we can see that there is either a stable, a neutral or an unstable condition forecast by the model. It makes a huge difference to the winds actually experienced in our coastal and varied terrain and sheltered sailing sites. (radio sailing) Thanks" Ubermetman [Reply >>]

Boundary layer stability  [About Windguru.cz website in general, ideas, etc...] Hi again..Great job on the website.. The 2d display enhancements are good. Still no colour contours on my iPad. One thing that is tricky to determine is the stability of the air in the boundary layer. It can be interpreted from the winds and temps but it would be easier if stable and unstable layers can be shown. This of course means using the standard dry and moist lapse rates and doing some more calculations, but it would be very useful if we can see that there is either a stable, a neutral or an unstable condition forecast by the model.
