Re[2]: Query windguru for personal use ?  [WS - advanced. (how to do the jibe? etc...)]lang
I am sorry but we do not offer any API to get data from WIndguru for other applications. And we do not like to see scripts that try to dig out info from the website, it is actually forbidden (see terms and conditions). Please contact me by mail (vh@windguru.cz) with more info about what you need and we'll see what we could do for you.

Re: Query windguru for personal use ?  [WS - advanced. (how to do the jibe? etc...)]lang
Not much luck here ...

To be more precise, I try to solve 2 problems:
- first, to identify from gps coordinates, nearest weather station code
I've seen this http://www.windguru.cz/en/forum.php?id_thread=1266&switchlang=1 which allows to define a spot from gps but is no help to get the code in a non-interactive way.
It doesn't seem possible to make something like a curl/wget to "https://www.windguru.cz/int/uspot.php?spotcislo=dalsi&lat=xx&lon=yy&format=txt.....
- from station code, get current/forecast weather in a parse-able way which doesn't seem possible with php code from http://www.windguru.cz/int/help_index.php?sec=distr
as it's url http://www.windguru.cz/int/distr2.php which generates html code in a non-easy parseable way.
Is there an url or an option to this url to get xml or csv output ? getting current weather from html would be kind of bad ...

Thanks a lot.

Query windguru for personal use ?  [WS - advanced. (how to do the jibe? etc...)]lang
Hello winguru users/admins,

I'm a traveller and want to query weather (and archive it) of my current position (gps coordinates) in a way similar to weather undeground [1].
Sadly wunderground is not very precise on some locations (get a weather station more than 100km away ...) so I try windguru.

Problem, page seems only fit for a website
http://www.windguru.cz/fr/help_index.php?sec=distr

I'm looking for something, I could call from a script (shell, perl, php, ...) like a curl/wget to http://api.wunderground.com/api/$wunderground_key/conditions/lang:$wunderground_lang/q/$cu.....
with an output easily parseable (like xml or csv)

is there a way to do this ?

Thanks a lot.
Cheers,

Julien
